1. POWER RECEPTACLE: works on 80 to 280

VAC without any jumper changes or switches.

2. MIDI CONNECTORS: provided for controlling

the Model 1788A remotely.

3. LAN CONNECTOR: for standard CAT5

Ethernet connection.

4. RS-232 COM Port: for downloading new

firmware into the preamp.

5. DIP SWITCH: sets priority for external

synchronization.

6. AES/EBU DB-15 DIGITAL OUTPUT: provides

four stereo pairs of AES3.

7. ADAT OPTICAL OUTPUT: provides direct

connection to ADAT compatible equipment.

8. TDIF DIGITAL OUTPUT (Tascam format):

routes all eight channels directly to a Tascam

DA-88 or compatible input.

9. BNC Clock I/O: syncs the Model 1788A to an

external clock source (word clock or super-clock)

and links multiple 1788A’s to the same clock.

10. AUX ANALOG OUTPUTS: DB-25 connector

with eight active-balanced transformerless

outputs.

11. XLR MIC INPUTS: balanced, transformer

isolated.

12. XLR MAIN ANALOG OUTPUTS: servo-

balanced, transformerless.

All five signal outputs can be used simultaneously.
